Ah super tough question because as a geologist look at a lot of fossils from animals that went extinct millions of years ago! I think the most interesting animal of all time is the archaeopteryx which is an extinct bird, and is generally considered to be the oldest bird to have ever existed! They were basically half bird and half dinosaur 😮
I think the most interesting living animal would be the GIANT SQUID! They live in the greatest depths of our oceans and are so mysterious. They can grow up to 13m long!
What do you think Alice? Love this question. Very different from favourite animal (snow leopard or polar bear…).
I think the Greenland shark is the most interesting animal – it’s been found to be the longest living vertebrate animal in the world – it’s been found to live to 400 years old! 400!! It’s amazing to think that something born in the 1700’s is still alive today! You can read a bit about it here; https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/aug/11/400-year-old-greenland-shark-is-the-oldest-vertebrate-animal. Because they’re quite rare scientists know so little about them and how they manage to live so long!
In my opinion the most interesting animal is the cow (you are probably thinking out of all the amazing animals you chose a cow) this is because I love how it have multiple stomachs.
Hayley I also find daddy long legs fascinating but some spiders(like the big black one I find terrifying.
