• Question: What is your favourite thing to disect?

      I quite like the larynx. There are so many different structures it’s amazing to see it when a slide is made and it’s stained, you can see the rings of cartilage and the surrounding soft tissue. I quite like to do jaws as well only because these are really difficult because it’s dense bone and I like to challenge myself.

    I do quite a lot of dissecting at school. A lot of people in my class when we are dissecting stuff the run away covering their eyes or holding their nose but I can’t get a nough of it! Its amazing and scientific. Win win!!!

    I didn’t do any dissection at school not sure how I would have coped but I love it. I always bother the pathologists with what may seem to them simple questions, but if you don’t ask you’ll never learn anything! If you like dissection and anatomy you should consider what I do in the lab as a job. It’s so rewarding. Do you have any idea about what you want to do after school?
