Absolutely not! I didn’t hate school but certainly didn’t like going. I always got the worst grades in science and maths. Saying that I really enjoyed Yr 12/13 I think it was because I went to a different school to do sixth form. Strangely enough though I did a science GNVQ because I was always told to do science and maths by my family, I really struggled with those subjects but when I got to a different school with different techers, and pupils something inside clicked. I can’t explain it any other way, may be it was because I wasn’t studying what I saw as academic A levels, a GNVQ was a more practical approach to science which suited me.
