• Question: have you ever camped out in the snow/ice, if so what was it like and where was it?

      I have! I built an igloo in a place called Ellesmere Island and stayed in there with an Inuit friend of mine. It was so hot. Even though it was made of hard snow (carved out of the ground using a snow saw), it gets really warm inside of igloos – you even have to smooth down the inside walls so that you don’t let it melt and drip onto you! One of the most important things in the polar regions is staying dry. Wet things freeze!
