I’ve just turned 24. I left school when I was 16 and went to college until I was 18. Then I took a gap year and travelled around Asia by myself. I went to University when I was 19 for 4 years. I started my PhD last September and will study for that until 2021 … then, who knows! I’m still an young scientist with lots of learning to do!

      Quite a long time!

I went to medical school when I was 18 and spent 6 years there.

After that I spent 2 years as a doctor working in Cambridge and then I spent a year teaching anatomy at King’s College London.

I trained as a general surgeon for one year and then managed to get a training job in neurosurgery after that.

I’m almost 4 years into my neurosurgery training now and it’s a total of 8 years of training!

      I’m 31 now…

      Quite a long time.
After school I spent 3 years getting by BSc degree. This was followed by 2 years of postgrad work, then 3 years getting my PhD. After this I spent a year working building microscopes to look at brain cells in great detail. I then spent two years working on a project to develop cheap and disposable water purity sensors for use in rural India.
I’ve now spent 9 years working with CT scanners.
