• Question: When the sun burns out, will people on earth die over a long(ish) space of time or almost Strait away?

      As the sun burns out it will start to expand, with the extent of the expansion modelled to reach Mars! So the Earth will be destroyed long before the sun burns out. Whilst this won’t happen for a fair few billion years (I think 7-10 billion!), I don’t think humans will ever experience this change, I imagine we will have evolved and expanded to space long before then 🙂 Do you want to visit space?

      I’m so glad Thomas answered this because I would have had to have done some reading on this to answer your question. I love space and would love to know more and because we’ve had so many space related question you’ve all inspired me to pick up some astronomy books and start reading about a subject I’d like to know more about.
